The most successful salespeople are frequently complimented for their ability to connect with their prospects and clients to build strong relationships that become the foundation for future sales.  This superior ability to work effectively with others is what researchers call “Emotional Intelligence”.  However, few sales training programs expand beyond discussion of sales tools and techniques, forgetting that at the end of the day, successful sales relationships are about people selling to people.  The salesperson who can master their products and their organization’s sales processes and bring this to their prospects and clients in an emotionally intelligent way has an edge over their competition.

During this program, participants will improve their understanding of the science of emotions and emotional intelligence.  Participants will also explore and practice tools and techniques that will allow them to develop the superior emotional intelligence that typifies top salespeople. 

In this program, participants will:

  • explore emotional intelligence and how it impacts work experiences,
  • understand the impact emotional intelligence has on every interaction we have with prospects and clients,
  • explore the neuroscience of emotions and emotional intelligence,
  • understand what causes positive and negative emotional responses at work,
  • analyze feedback on emotionally intelligent behaviors, skills, and qualities and create a plan to enhance one’s ability to “show up” in an emotionally intelligent way,
  • explore the neuroscience of mindfulness and learn how mindfulness practice can enhance focus and concentration,
  • gain insight into how to interact with different personality types,
  • familiarize oneself with everyday “triggers” that either open or close the minds of prospects and clients to sales messages, and
  • learn a daily practice to become more focused, calm, empathetic, and capable of dealing with the stress that goes with being a successful salesperson.
